Dear Carnival Guest,

taking into consideration the global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnival Cruise Line has decided to extend the disruption of cruise operations, which has been in place since March 14, 2020, and to cancel all cruises with departure through May 11, 2020. In the hope of welcoming our guests on board again soon, we offer all affected customers the following two alternatives:

Six plus nights

  • Refund of port fees and taxes (might differ from the invoice/confirmation you received)
  • 100% of the remaining cancellation fees will be applied as a Future Cruise Credit
  • Onboard credit of USD 600 per cabin on your future cruise

100% refund

Five nights or less

  • Refund of port fees and taxes (might differ from the invoice/confirmation you received)
  • 100% of the remaining cancellations fees will be applied as a Future Cruise Credit
  • Onboard credit of USD 300 per cabin on your future cruise

100% refund

The future cruise credit may be applied to sailings departing by December 31, 2022, which must be booked by December 31, 2020.

Please register your decision for one of the two options using this Online-Form and send us a brief information to info@carnivalcruiseline.de.
In case you do not make any choice by December 31, 2020, the Future Cruise Credit will be applied automatically.

Please note that the option you choose will be applied to all guests in one cabine. Refunds will be paid directly to the guests.
We ask for your kind understanding that this might take some time due to the high volume of affected bookings.


All affected guests and their travel agents will be informed directly.

For all cruises departing from May 12, 2020 we offer the following flexible options:

Guests who want to keep their booking:

  • Guests who choose to keep their booking as currently scheduled for departures between May 12 and May 31, 2020 will receive the following Onboard Credit (OBC) amounts automatically and do not need to contact us. Valid for bookings made no later than March 05 2020:
  • $50 per cabin for 2 day cruises
  • $100 per cabin for 3 and 4 day cruises
  • $150 per cabin for 5 day cruises
  • $200 per cabin for 6 day and longer cruises
  • $300 per cabin for Europe cruises (all guests will be contacted regarding itinerary changes)

 

  • Guests who choose to keep their booking as currently scheduled for departures between June 01 and September 30, 2020 will receive the following Onboard Credit (OBC) amounts automatically and do not need to contact us. Valid for bookings made no later than March 10 2020:
  • $50 per cabin for 2 day to 5 day cruises
  • $100 per cabin for 6 day and longer cruises
     

Guests who want to change their booking:

  • For all departures until September 30, 2020, if you decide to change vacation plans, we will allow to move the booking to a new date and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) in the amount of the non-refundable cancellation fee:
  • Departures May 2020: Move your booking to a future date no later than 30 days prior to departure, departure of the new cruise no later than one year after the original departure. Valid for bookings made no later than March 05, 2020.
  • Departures June – September 2020: Move your booking to a future date no later than 30 days prior to departure, departure of the new cruise no later than one year after the original departure. Valid for bookings made no later than March 10, 2020.

*The Future Cruise Credit (FCC) is non-transferable, cannot be used as a deposit or applied to a chartered sailing and has no cash value. The FCC may only be used towards the cruise fare of one booking in the same currency in which the original voyage was originally paid and cannot be used for taxes, fees and port expenses, onboard charges or gratuities.

The booking guest shall be responsible for payment of the difference between the amount of the FCC and the amount of the new booking. If the amount of the new cruise is less than the amount of the FCC, the difference will be credited as non-refundable onboard credit for cancelled departures from March to May 2020 with a maximum of 500 USD onboard credit per cabin.

For cancelled departures from June onwards, the difference will not be credited as onboard credit.  Any additional unused portion of the FCC will be forfeited.

We are sorry to share the news that Carnival Cruise Line is temporarily pausing service, effective with sailings departing Saturday, March 14 through April 09, 2020 across its fleet of North America based ships. We will resume service on April 10, 2020.

As you know, COVID-19  has now turned into a global pandemic.  Carnival Cruise Line has responded by implementing higher levels of screening, monitoring and sanitation protocols to protect the health and safety of our guests, crew and communities we serve. We have had no diagnosed cases linked to our operations and we are committed to continuing to do our part to support  public officials in their efforts to manage and contain this unprecedented  public health situation.

On behalf of all of us at Carnival Cruise Line, we extend our sincere apologies for the disruption to your vacation plans and trust you understand this decision was made with everyone's best interest at heart.

Since we'd love nothing more than to welcome you back just as soon as we resume operations, we're pleased to present the following options:

Please let us know which option you want to choose by using this Online-Form. In case you didn´t make any choice by December 31, 2020, automatically the Future Cruise Credit will be applied.
Please note that the option you choose will be applied for all guests on the booking. Refunds will be paid to the guests. Please note that this might take some time due to the high volume of affected bookings.
Should you get error message when completing the online-form, please retry and if still not successful send us a message to info@carnivalcruiseline.de.

We ask our guests who cancelled their booking departing between March 14, 2020 and April 09, 2020 due to  the US travel ban for all European citizens from Schengen countries to please also use the Online-Form.
Cancellations which have been sent to us within the last days because of the US travel ban will not be confirmed by us as all bookings with cruises departing until April 09, 2020 don´t need to be cancelled actively.

Guests who are not going their cruises departing from April 10 – 12, 2020 (due to the US travel ban) will need to actively cancel their booking. They will receive 100% refund.

Update on departures with Carnival Radiance and Carnival Spirit:

  • Carnival Radiance (29.04. - 11.06.2020): Due to the temporary closure of the shipyards in Spain caused by the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting delays in the modification of Carnival Radiance, unfortunately all departures between 29.04. and 11.06.2020 have to be cancelled. Affected guests have already been informed directly and also have the alternatives described in the chart above. A choice for option 1 or option 2 can also be made here until 31.12.2020. 
  • Carnival Spirit (10.04. - 20.04.2020): Due to the temporary closure of Canadian ports caused by the spread of COVID-19, unfortunately all departures between 10.04. and 20.04.2020 have to be cancelled. Affected guests have already been informed directly and also have the alternatives described in the chart above. A selection for option 1 or option 2 can also be made here until 31.12.2020.

For all cruises departing from April 13, 2020 we offer the following flexible options:
